We are pleased to announce the Seminar on Singularities:algebraic methods. Garachico 2008. This event is going to take place in Tenerife, in September 2-6, 2008. It is a nice chance to know some of the recent scientific advances in Singularities, more precisely in valuations, arc spaces, resolution, local uniformization, complete and multiplier ideals, singularities of curves and surfaces, quasiordinary singularities, polar varieties, invariants of singularities, Milnor fibres, zeta functions, Poincaré series, integration, singularities in characteristic p, non commutative geometry,... and simultaneously, to enjoy Canary Islands' wheather, gastronomy and landscapes.
